Education: Bachelors’ degree in Teaching. Must have or be eligible for a North Dakota teaching license.
Job Goal: Implement the RISE Summer Curriculum in order to provide appropriate learning experiences for all students.
June 4th-June 7th Synchronous Blended Training 9:00-11:00 & 12:00-2:00.

June 10-July 12 (with July 4-5 off) = 23 days of instruction

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure students are actively engaged in learning throughout sessions.
- Attend weekly professional development meetings and collaborate with other RISE teachers and professional supports.
- Complete weekly pre-work for PD sessions.
- Attend pre-RISE professional development training (June 4-7).
- Provide direct and indirect instructional support to students in a positive environment.
- Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining an environment conducive to learning for all students.
- Communicate with parents regarding academic and behavioral concerns.
- Intellectually prepare and lesson plan daily.
- Administer a pre and post assessment as well as progress monitor throughout the summer.
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to students.
- Identify absence dates ahead of time and provide substitute plans, as needed.
- Perform related work as required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally walk and stand. The ability to hear and see in order to communicate effectively as well as communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; Maintain effective audio/visual discrimination and perception to the degree necessary for the successful performance of assigned duties; Maintain mental capacity, allowing for effective interaction and communication with others. Ability to manage emotions and provide emotional support during stressful circumstances.
Terms of Employment: Working June 5 – July 12th, 2024. Non-benefited position.
